4 of the Best Facial Sunscreens for Mature Skin
At this point we probably all know that it is important to use sunscreen (and not just during the summer). Using facial sunscreen is crucial for maintaining skin health. It protects the skin from harmful UV rays, which can cause sunburn, skin cancer, and damage that leads to more wrinkles, fine lines, and hyperpigmentation. Regular use of sunscreen helps maintain an even skin tone, reduces the risk of sun spots, and keeps the skin looking healthy. Facial sunscreen has come a long way in the last years. I remember those think and pasty formulas that didn’t work well under make up and weren’t a pleasure to use. That didn’t really help using facial sunscreen consistently. Fast forward a few years and also me discovering the world of Korean Beauty, I found some really great options (and let’s be honest, I will probably find more as time goes on). Today I am sharing 4 of my best facial sunscreens for mature skin that I’ve found so far, with one of them not being K-Beauty. These are in no particular order (don’t make me pick a favorite!).
1. Haruharu Wonder Black Rice Moisture Airyfit Daily Sunscreen SPF50+ PA++++
The Black Rice Moisture Airyfit Daily Sunscreen from the Korean Beauty brand HaruHaru offers complete UV protection with SPF 50+ and PA++++. This chemical sunscreen doesn’t leave a white cast and is packed with superstar ingredients, that help to nourish, brighten, and hydrate your skin. The star is Black Rice Extract which is a powerful antioxidant that shields the skin from environmental aggressors, nourishes the skin, and provides anti-aging care alongside Adenosine. The formula also contains Heartleaf and Ceramide NP, which help soothe redness, alleviate breakouts, strengthen the skin barrier, and lock in moisture. With added Niacinamide, this SPF also brightens dull skin and evens out skin tone and texture.
The texture is lightweight and velvety which easily blends into the skin and leaves a silky smooth, semi-matte finish. This Sunscreen is reef-safe and doesn’t contain fragrances, parabens, mineral oils, or synthetic dyes. It is suitable for all skin types.
